Precious Care and Home Companion Service went well beyond our expectations, they became family. Mom’s caregiver Christine is one of the most wonderful people we have ever met. She treated mom as if she was he own mom, developed such respect and love from my mom she was referred to as the 5th sister (mom had 4 sisters). Throughout the pandemic and even a flood Christine was there to take care of mom until she recently passed. Thank you Ed, Christine, and all at Precious Care you truly do God’s work and we are forever grateful.

Great, caring staff! When my father came home for hospice care, I called Ed. He was so kind and sincerely cared about my family’s welfare. We arranged for someone to come in and help Mom with my Dad’s care. What a beautiful caring staff! I highly recommend them! They were so much more than just home health aides. They were a support system.

I got my relative help in her home. I got Precious Care for her. My experience with them is very good. Their caregivers are really nice. I have the same caregiver each time. They provide basically everything. They take her to places, they offer to do stuff at home, and they cook food for her.

Precious Care and Home Companion Service helped us navigate a very difficult time when my father-in-law could no longer care for himself. The owner went above and beyond, helping to answer all our questions, make a care plan and get a wonderful caregiver assigned to Dad within a very short amount of time. He continued to follow up regularly and offer advice on little details to make Dad as comfortable as possible. We are so genuinely grateful for Precious Care and how they came alongside us during a difficult time. Would most highly recommend their services and expertise.

My mom is a current client of this provider and has been for years. We could not be more pleased with the services and caregivers. Caregivers take care of mom with patience and graciousness. They are always on time and very attentive to mom’s needs. The provider always works with mom to accommodate what she is needing. Would highly recommend as a provider.

My father is a client of Precious Care. He originally lived in Ohio and had a stroke with complications in Florida. Emelie is dad’s caregiver and she is awesome. She treats him as if he was her own father. She truly cares about his wellbeing. Any concerns are quickly addressed by Ed the owner of the company. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of care for their loved ones. I can rest a lot easier here in Ohio knowing that Dad is getting the quality of care that he deserves.

I spoke with Ed at Precious Care on Friday, December 20th to make arrangements for overnight care for my 92 year old Dad who was experiencing his first ever overnight hospitalization. Mr. Ostrand was an endless well of knowledge regarding elder care. He was genuine, kind, and empathetic, and I knew immediately that I had made the right choice of providers. His employees are bright, compassionate, and non-intrusive., treating my Dad with respect and dignity. They are always on time and Dad feels comfortable and well cared for. Precious Care was my best choice and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking in home care.

In April 2019 our very good friend in her 80’s was admitted into the hospital with heart issues and returned home requiring 24/7 care. Ed and his very talented Care Team were contracted to set up and implement a care program and provided exceptional care and monitoring of her heath issues. As this was our first experience in dealing with 24/7 care services, I never expected an owner of an organization, like Ed at Precious Care, to have such a wide breadth of experience and knowledge to help guide us thru this difficult time. I do not think that there are many other company owners that would require their Team to monitor and upload vital signs several times a shift so Ed could monitor and review. Exceptional! Our friend eventually moved into a skilled nursing facility as a result of ongoing medical issues. We highly recommend Precious Care and their professional Care Team members.

What I like most about Precious Care are the two awesome staff members that care for my loved one. The administration always has time to take your call or to speak with you which is also very nice. I believe they have my loved ones best interest at heart.

We live in the Northeast and our parents live in Land O Lakes, FL. The Precious Care team have been a godsend. Ed is very supportive, knowledgeable and helpful as we navigate the eldercare landscape. He met with our parents and was able to build a rapport with our mom, who has dementia, and put her at ease. He selected a caregiver, Luz, who spoke Spanish which is my mother’s first language. Luz was instrumental during an emergency situation in which she disarmed the situation both professionally and caring. We were glad that she was there to help our dad. The family portal keeps you touch with your loved ones. Precious Care is not just one person but a team of caring individuals.

It is hard to express how grateful I have been for all of your support, empathy and most of all hard work in helping to make my Dad’s last months as comfortable and meaningful as possible. Dealing with his illness, finances, being so far away, and working with my family members and hospice has taken a toll on all of us but it would have been much, much worse if it wasn’t for you. Ed, from the moment you stopped by to assess whether or not you could help in my Dad’s care in rehab to his funeral service, you have been the utmost professional, but more importantly, so sympathetic and empathetic to his needs as well as mine and Maryann’s. Thank you for so many ways of advocating for him. Thank you especially for caring so much that he ate that you took it upon yourself to personally deliver dinners from some favorite restaurants. Friends are incredulous when I tell them this!

I would like to thank Ed O. for his care, compassion and guidance. From the very start we knew that our Aunt was in good hands. Ed’s continued support is greatly appreciated. It is difficult to care for elderly relatives with Dementia and trying to do so long distance complicates an already difficult situation. The caring team at Precious Care were kind and understanding. They provided excellent care to my Aunt. Thank you to Lilbeth, Dawn and Christine for recognizing the changes in her and the help Christine and Ed provided to get her safely to the hospital to get the care she needed. I highly recommend the skilled and compassionate care Precious Care provides and would not hesitate to make them my first choice for future needs.

We worked with Precious Care and Home Companion Service for my father-in-law and they did a nice job trying to provide for his needs. Our overall experience with them was positive. We used them for approximately a month. We liked their responsiveness, they called back right away, and they’re able to provide service almost immediately.

Precious Care has been so very helpful in many ways. Elderly parents are in Fl with rest of family in NY. Precious Care is like having family in the area. Ed has helped in areas other than just providing care. Aides have been wonderful providing assistance 7 days a week. They arrive on time and parents are very happy with care and help they are receiving.

My 91 year old father is currently aided by Precious Care. After four hospitalizations and rehabs due to infections and loss of mobility, I contracted with Precious Care to lend 24/7 support at home. Unfortunately, at the last minute, my father relapsed and had to continue his stay in rehab. In order to make the most of his stay, and afford him some companionship as I live several hours away by plane, I contracted with Precious Care to be with him for a daily 9 hour shift. The aides did a wonderful job ensuring that he ate meals, performed needed PT, got his medications on time, conversed with him, and made him as comfortable as possible. Upon his release I intend to continue support at home. It is a daunting job choosing a home care company, especially as a long distance care-giver.

The main reason I chose Precious Care was the responsiveness, compassion, and guidance of its co-owner, Ed O. He went well beyond my expectations, having his aides report in daily on my father’s progress. The company also has a web portal where family members can log in to see daily reports as well as such things as medicines a loved one is taking. There is also an area for questions and comments so that all family members might be involved. So far, I’ve been very happy with the competencies of aides assigned and with the company in general.

I have no problems with Precious Care Home Care Service. The caregivers are very good and very helpful. I would use them again. They help with meals, cleaning, companionship, shopping, doctors’ appointments, and anything they need help with. The management is excellent with everything, including their response time.

Agency was extremely responsive and worked with all our request attentively. Father was released from hospital in a week condition and the staff was more than able and willing to help him regain his strength and his ability to live with minimal assistance. Their help in preparing meals , that he would eat at his convenience , was a great help. They were able to take him to all his follow-up doctor appointments on time and help with paperwork that he needed to fill out. Great staff that made the healing process move along easily and quickly.

PC fully managed the process of staffing our home as required and proactively made replacements when any unforeseen change with scheduled caregiver if she could not be available. The quality and experience of all caregivers was above others agencies used in the past years.

We’re using Precious Care Home Care Service for my husband. The caregiver comes twice a week and bathes him, does some little exercises with him, and walks him. It’s basically respite care for me, too, so I can go out, do my shopping for groceries and all of that. She makes his meals. I’m very happy. She’s a lovely, caring, nurturing lady. I truly enjoy having her here, and my husband is very comfortable with her.

We just love her; she is almost part of our family now.

After my mother’s fall at age 93, and fractured hip. I didn’t know where to begin. Up to this point my Mom was very independent so It was going to be difficult to find someone acutely aware and intuitive of my mom’s needs. I did my research and narrowed down to three choices. Precious Care and two others. After speaking with, and meeting Ed, for a home evaluation- safety measures were recommended- He felt he had just the right person to be with my Mom. Ed, sent us the most amazing, caring… helpful home companion we could have ever hoped for. Needless to say… the other “visits” from other providers were cancelled. Couldn’t be more happy, but most of all reassured that my Mom, is in competent and caring hands. I can now leave for work, or just a break, KNOWING that my Mom is with “family”.

Our care provider is already like part of the family and she really cares about helping my mom live her best life possible. I recently contracted with Precious Care to provide end of life support for my cousin. The Precious Care care givers were attentive to my cousin, very conscientious in administering her medication, and demonstrated real concern for my cousin’s comfort and well being. The team of care givers would sometimes sing to her, stroke her arm and were genuinely concerned and sympathetic. Someone from Precious Care was with my cousin 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a month. My cousin’s care during that time was far better then it would have been without the women from Precious Care. They are hard working, sweet, dedicated people who worked very hard to keep my cousin as comfortable as possible. I will always remember them.

My mother had a stoke about three months ago and wanted to return home after rehab. She and I interviewed with Ed at the rehab facility. He answered all our questions and asked very good questions of my mother to get to know her better. My mother has lived independently for many years and has specific instructions about how she wants things done. Ed and Lyn are able to provide wonderful caregivers who are responsible and take great care in doing what my mother wants done re cooking and housekeeping. Their most valuable service is the type of care provided. They always arrive on time, stay the amount of time agreed upon, provide a cheerful atmosphere, and remain very attentive in helping my mother with her personal and daily needs. Thanks to Precious Care, my mother can live at home and I can be assured of her safety and care.

I have a uncle in Florida and I live in Ct. I try to visit at least 3 times a year, my uncle is 86 and no longer drives and now he can’t get to the doctors or food shopping or for the matter get out of the house. My uncle say he needs to get to the doctors and I say do u need me to help you with that” and he would say I’m working on that but does nothing, so I went on line and found this company called Precious Care Home Care Service. My uncle now is taken to see his doctor on a regular basis and gets to go food shopping and also his house is kept clean and meals are prepared. Also I would like to say the owners are like family and my uncle is one happy dude once again… Calling Precious Care was the best call I ever made, they are the best. Precious Care Home Care Service seemed to be prompt, caring, and attentive. The caregivers that they have are friendly and overall I have no problems with them. They were the ones who first responded to my inquiry and the staff that I talked to was very knowledgeable. He is the husband of the owner and a retired FBI agent so that sounded good credentials to me. They were also able to provide us immediately a good caregiver.

After interviewing several businesses and their employees, I was fortunate to find Precious Care. They have been wonderful for my elderly father and made it possible for him to remain living in his own home for a longer period of time. They are reliable, competent, truly caring, and work with the family to meet their every need. I simply can’t say enough about how great they have been with my father. He is happy, well cared for and we are all much less stressed 🙂

I first met Lyn on August 31, 2011. Lyn’s job was to provide personal care and supportive services for my wife, Margaret, who had suffered a stroke while visiting relatives up north. Lyn was the first and most efficient of several home aides provided by the home health aide company. Lyn’s attention to my wife served as a benchmark to the other aides. She quickly and accurately determined the care and assistance that my wife needed and required and passed these on to the other aides, thereby keeping my wife as calm and peaceful as possible. My wife frequently related the pleasure that she received from Lyn’s care and jokingly told all of and relatives that we would like to “adopt” Lyn as a member of our family. Lyn’s care and attention was not only apparent during her working hours, she also visited Margaret during her hospital and rehabilitation stays. These visits encouraged Margaret to strive to recover from her medical problems.Shortly after Margaret’s passing, I began having vertigo, accompanied by falling problems. With no relatives in the area, I was advised to obtain home health care, not available through Medicare. I was referred to Precious Care Home Care Service, owned and operated by Lyn. Based on my observance of her work in caring for my wife, l could not have found a more capable firm to care for me. Lyn quickly evaluated my needs and desires and set up a 24 hour schedule for me with her employees.l have 24 hour care and-have not had even one complaint about the help I have received. The best part of all, is that l am still in my previous neighborhood in my own home and bed. l still have all of my furniture and have the room for my relatives to visit when they are able.
